Essentially polenta is a yellow maize meal that is cooked with water like porridge and can be used as a base for toppings such as cheese, meat, or vegetables. It can also be set in the refrigerator, giving it a dough-like texture, to be cut or moulded and grilled, or toasted in the oven.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
- Stir Polenta into a 1:1 ratio with boiling water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Cook for 10 minutes and stir continuously until it is smooth.
- Cooking tip: 1 cup (250ml) raw polenta makes 4 cups (1l) cooked polenta. One serving is usually 1/2 cup (125ml) cooked Polenta
